Great 2nd list. I just added Vampires of El Norte. Nothing like a few vamps for entertainment.
Good luck with this list, as well!

Have fun!

I read and really liked Vampires of El Norte, The Maid & especially Stillhouse Lake (GREAT series, I'm on #4)

I read the follow up book to The Maid, not knowing it was a follow-up. I thought it was a standalone. It was good! Now I want to go back and read her first book.

I do have it! 😏

Bill, Rachel Caine was recommended to me because I liked Nesbo. I'll let you know how it goes.

I really liked The Mystery Guest, so I'm fairly sure I'll enjoy The Maid. I'm looking forward to this entire list!

Ooh, you rebel! You read the series out of order. :-) :-) :-)
I'm so jealous, honestly. I have a hard time going out of order.
I'm still wondering if I should just try The Mystery Guest. It is actually better rated than The Maid, but sometimes that happens because the people that didn't enjoy the first book don't read the rest of the series. I'm still thinking about it.
Your list looks great - I'm so glad you're looking forward to it! It will be fun to see what you think.

I thought they were standalones until I was halfway through. 😂

Sounds right up my alley!

I'm excited to get to that one. I haven't read many books from Brazil. I can only think of one other.

Thank you! It's one of those books I keep trying to get to. 2024 is the year!

I bought the first three books in the series at a library book sale. I hope I end of liking them as much as you!

-I enjoyed Romantic Comedy. Glad I added it to the list at the last minute.
-I was disappointed in The Fury. I should have loved this book. I love locked room mysteries and I really love anything set in Greece. It was ok, but not amazing. The narrator is kind of whiney and frequently pulled me out of the story just as I was getting drawn in.

One by One was just ok for me. Not very believable.
