Denise (drams5) | 323 comments #3 and #4 titles are crazy. Remember when every book title had Girl in it? Gone Girl, The Good Girl, etc? Maybe that's coming back around...

Great 2nd list. I just added Vampires of El Norte. Nothing like a few vamps for entertainment.

Good luck with this list, as well!

Patricia | 1136 comments Another list where I haven't read (or even heard of) most of the books! I love Sally Hepworth but haven't read that one yet.
Have fun!

Alissa Patrick (apatrick12211) | 1802 comments Great list! So many that I myself want to read so I can't wait to hear your thoughts!

I read and really liked Vampires of El Norte, The Maid & especially Stillhouse Lake (GREAT series, I'm on #4)

I read the follow up book to The Maid, not knowing it was a follow-up. I thought it was a standalone. It was good! Now I want to go back and read her first book.

I don't know any of those books. I'll look for your comments. Enjoy your 2024 reading.

Bill, Rachel Caine was recommended to me because I liked Nesbo. I'll let you know how it goes.

Lea (leaspot) | 3629 comments I loved Klara and the Sun, I hope you do too. There's a lot of detail to the book. I did read The Maid, but I must've read it wrong. Fortunately, most of my friends loved it, so I'm sure you will too. Happy reading!

I really liked The Mystery Guest, so I'm fairly sure I'll enjoy The Maid. I'm looking forward to this entire list!

Ooh, you rebel! You read the series out of order. :-) :-) :-)

I'm so jealous, honestly. I have a hard time going out of order.

I'm still wondering if I should just try The Mystery Guest. It is actually better rated than The Maid, but sometimes that happens because the people that didn't enjoy the first book don't read the rest of the series. I'm still thinking about it.

Your list looks great - I'm so glad you're looking forward to it! It will be fun to see what you think.

Pam (bluegrasspam) | 229 comments The Invisible Life sounds really interesting and I added it to my TBR! Hope you have a great year of reading!

Lindsey Gandhi (lindseygandhi) | 1227 comments Ooohhh I love your list!! So many of them are on my TBR. The Maid is on my 12+4 list too!! I did read Mother-Daughter Murder Night. It's a cute, cozy mystery. I really liked the back story of why and how she cme to write this book.

I'm excited to get to that one. I haven't read many books from Brazil. I can only think of one other.

Thank you! It's one of those books I keep trying to get to. 2024 is the year!

I bought the first three books in the series at a library book sale. I hope I end of liking them as much as you!

message 25: by Denise (new)

Denise (drams5) | 323 comments Hmmm...I just made my shelves for my challenges and got everything set, but I think I want to add Romantic Comedy somewhere now. (This might be why I'm about 50/50 on finishing challenges 😂)

message 26: by Denise (new)

Denise (drams5) | 323 comments I made some progress!
-I enjoyed Romantic Comedy. Glad I added it to the list at the last minute.

-I was disappointed in The Fury. I should have loved this book. I love locked room mysteries and I really love anything set in Greece. It was ok, but not amazing. The narrator is kind of whiney and frequently pulled me out of the story just as I was getting drawn in.

message 27: by Denise (new)

Denise (drams5) | 323 comments I loved The Maid. I knew I would. Molly is a great character.

One by One was just ok for me. Not very believable.
