Two other elements seem to have importance in this story…mirrors and twins. Does the curse only affect the Pooles who have a twin? Are the mirrors a portal to the “other side?” Your thoughts? Are there other elements that play a role in that manor? Are all the ghosts who were affected by the “curse” present in that house?

The curse does seen to affect people who are related to twins also. Two of the brides where daughters of twins. Which would make Sonya a possible victim. There are sure a lot of twins in this family. I wonder if a Poole twin played Hester false and that is why she cursed the family.

The special mirror is definitely a conduit to the other side. Sonya sees it in her dreams, but they didn't find it physically until the end of the book.

I don't think all the ghosts who are affected by the curse are present in the house. The men aren't there, just one male ghost so far. The ghost who acts as a maid wasn't a Poole. She was a maid, right?
