I'm enjoy this individual challenge. I'm mostly reading what I want and finding all but 2 books so far have been worth at least 1 point. I've only found a few books with the Buzzword in the title and I'm not feeling them calling to me so they're on the back burner for now. It's not a difficult Buzzword but not very common either so I like that aspect of this challenge as well.

I like this challenge as well. I like that there are multiple point options for the buzzword!

I'm having some issues with my internet, so I'm a little behind on updating challenges, but I'm having fun with my reading!

I'll have to admit that I probably wouldn't have played this one if it didn't count for Bonus for other Challenges. I generally make more of an effort for team challenges than individual ones (Listopia is a major exception).

It's fun, though! I'm not going too far out of my way to read books that work, but it does cross my mind as I'm figuring out what to read next. I'm frankly amazed by how many books have been worth points!

I will let you guys in on a little secret. This challenge was inspired by a readathon. The seasonal readathon here in HOB was recently changed by Anabella. However, some of our regulars liked it so I didn't want it to go away completely. I changed it a bit and turned it into this. It was a gem of a challenge hiding in the readathons so I brought it out to where it belonged.

I didn’t realize that readathons were anything more than just tracking your reading for a given period. Was this the first time tasks were assigned for a readathon?

The seasonal readathons were like this for a really long time until we changed it. All of our regular readathons now have optional tasks to inspire your reading. The current seasonal readathon is set up like the regular ones but the spring one will be in the new format. I have come up with a new twist that I hope everyone will enjoy.

Should be interesting. I’m looking forward to seeing what you come up with for the new twist!

Was the group able to find a new moderator?

Yes & no. We technically lost Karen & Anabella is leaving us at the end of the month. We have been getting volunteers who find they can't commit for some reason. So I put out that last broadcast looking to train moderators who are interested but have no moderating background. I think we may have one new mod for sure. We are leaving it open for now in case anyone else is interested.
