Any other topics you’d like to discuss? Your overall opinion of this story? In your opinion, where do the hero and heroine rank in relation to previous couples?

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1203 comments For some reason, I really liked this couple. I know I liked Cordie's friends and their spouses, too.

Maybe my memory is so porous that I fell hard for Aiden .....

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I was looking forward to Aiden and Cordie's story, but I was disappointed. I didn't like the way he bossed her around all the time. He'd tell her that she is staying in his apartment. He didn't try to reason with her or explain why it was safer for her to stay there. He treated her like an underling.

Compared to other couples in this series, his couple doesn't rate very high with me.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments There was one strange thing I noticed when I was reading the scene where Alec and Jack are interrogating the guy who tried to kill Cordie. Jack kept referring to Alec as Detective Buchanan. They are both in the FBI. Should he be calling him Agent Buchanan?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments I agree with Robin, I didn't like Adien's highhanded tactics when it came to Cordie, ordering her to stay put in the apartment. I also didn't like that he went silent for days at a time. Sure, he was a busy hotel magnet but that was just plain rude to Cordie.

I notice the "Detective" thing also. I puzzled me think and yes, he should have been addressed as Agent Buchanan.

I'll have to admit I missed the "detective" vs. "agent" thing with Alec. Great catch!

For me - Aidan's bossiness...his high-handed tactics when it came to Cordie are part of the protective nature of all the men in this series - some more than others. I find most of Garwood's hero's to be very alpha when it comes to their women and even before they realize or admit they love them, they come across as "bossy". It's one of several things I just let go over my head with this series. I could make a list! lol

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1203 comments I saw and noticed that, but I assumed that there was a reason to hide his actual title from the one being interrogated... hmmm. Maybe not?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments That is as good an explanation as any, Charlene,

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I liked this couple. Like Sandra, I considered it part of the Garwood male characters' personalities. For me, his protectiveness was part of his fear that something was going to happen to Cordelia before he resolved his feelings. He wasn't ready to admit that he loved her, but he knew something was happening.

Jessica | 156 comments I'm with Robin on this one. Aiden was a jerk. And my opinion of Cordie was lowered because she was so hung up on him. I get the whole Alpha male thing but I had trouble overlooking it in this one. Hiding her away in hotels made the story more boring for me.
