SarahKat | 6223 comments This thread is to discuss A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman.

Pages: 337 pages

Length: 1 month (January)

Participants: Sunny2, Holly, Asheena

Everyone reads at their own pace during a Buddy Read. Because participants can be at different parts of the book at different times, it is extremely important to mark spoilers so that the book is not ruined for someone who is not as far along as others!!!

Mark spoilers by placing {spoiler} before the text and {/spoiler} after the text but use the < and > instead of the { and }.

I never sign up for these and join in where I like, so I know from experience that's fine :)

Marcia | 51 comments I finished this book this morning. It had everything - I laughed out loud at some points and I cried at others. Absolutely loved this book!

Backman is a good writer and has only one novel I haven't read. I just can't bring myself to revisit the Beartown books even though I gave the first one 5 stars and the second 4.

My favourite book by him is My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She's Sorry, but it's very different from this book!
