it's really short so it was easy to get through

I got lucky enough to catch this author at a book festival and listened to her read the first chapter and talk about this book.

I'm so excited to read it!

Also, she gave a huge hint. She said, at the end of the book, be sure to follow instructions.

I don't love the POV so far. I wonder if we'll get more - less CEO a-holes and more of the 'other people' who definitely need to stop them from slinking off!! (hide spoiler)]

and is this before or after the alarm that the world was ending? I assume it's before

I like Badger. I like that he has an issue with what his mom and the other rich people are doing

so is it the mom and assistant and badger (and zhen) against the men and the one mom?

or is this is a false alarm "the world is ending" and now they are going to keep them from their bunkers? because if the alarm has gone off for real, then there's nothing left to do

(view spoiler)[ awe, we wondered how Zhen had the augr thing installed. I guess that answers it - through the wifi

interesting how they formed their group. I like their goals - but, again, this must be a false alarm
otherwise, them all going into hiding is bad. It means they've given up and don't have to do anything to make the world better

but augr definitely worked for Zhen. I wonder what's next (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ holy moly - is it real, then? I'm surprised her break in to the bunker didn't spur Augr to self delete whenever she booted back up

(view spoiler)[ wow! I thought they'd faked it but, of course, I should have thought they'd take over the companies to make changes. and she's stopping the army
and it's been three years. 3 YEARS! wow, I hope Zhen has managed to survive. how long does she plan to keep them out there? Until the good they do can't be reversed?

and man, how many of them are actually alive? I think Ellen might be dead but maybe not the first guy? (hide spoiler)]

I finished last night but fell asleep before I could update lol

I was shocked that Martha didn't know she was on the island too!!

I'm glad we got to know what happened with the other 2 on the island. The story of the mom was so sad. I hate that Badger had to live with that.
