I can understand her having a hard time talking about the rape to anyone. I'm glad she finally told Michael.

For once, I thought that Sam handled this exceptionally well. She was there to listen to Jeannie and support her, but did not hesitate to tell her the truth when she needed to hear it.

Sam was the real target, Jeannie was the tool to get to her. Like Lauren, Sam surprised me with the support she offered Jeannie.
It is hard to talk to others about a rape, especially in the beginning. There is a lot of self-blame initially. It requires a lot of strength and often counseling to get to the point of talking about the event.
What happened to Jeannie broke my heart. Her reaction felt authentic and Force got everything right. We saw a better side of Sam, too, in how she handled her as a friend and a colleague. That’s a tough thing to balance.
