Allison is a genius “hacker” who uses her skills to steal funds from other hackers who have robbed the vulnerable. Does this make her a criminal in the eyes of the law? Why or why not? Does it make her a criminal in your eyes? Why or why not?

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1203 comments Sure, it makes her a criminal in the law.

I always have trouble in real life with thinking about Robin Hood types of stealing, but I enjoy the fiction!

Xee (xeey) | 17 comments Not really. While in the technicalities of law ,sure, but in real life, I wouldnt mind if someone played hero that way.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments In real life, ignoring a crime is a slippery slope. Who gets to decide what or whom to steal from?

In fiction, I love it. Getting the bad guy and getting away with it makes them pay.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments By the law, anytime she enters a system without permission she has broken the law. That is protection for any business.

Is she a criminal in my eyes? No. What she does and how she does it is helping police the cyber world. But Allison has a deep feeling for what is right and wrong, and she knows what she does is wrong.

Jessica | 156 comments I'm with Sharon, in fiction I love it. In real life, she should have notified the FBI instead of taking the money.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I agree with everyone. In real life it is illegal to enter these systems without permission. In fiction, it's fun. I wish more people would do it.

I saw her as a modern day Robin Hood - taking from the rich (in this case the guilty) and giving to the poor (back to original owners). Nice spin on this even though it's illegal. I loved her message to the FBI - "You're Welcome!" LOL

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I agree Sandra, She is a Robin Hood type
