A very light sci-fi read involving humor, deep-space travel, and a depressed robot. I do not remember seeing the movie, but my son swears we saw it together.
I didn't find much value in reading this book, although the effort to ask a supercomputer for the answer to the ultimate question of life did remind me of The Last Question by Isaac Asimov, which is my favorite short story. I read that short story twice to my kids during story night...when they were little, of course. They're all moody teens now :eye-roll:
