I felt in the mood for something trashy when my last spin landed on the Hollywood tag. So I picked up The Unidentified Redhead, the first book in a trilogy about Grace Sheridan, a 33 year old woman who lives with her good friend, Holly, who owns a talent agency.
At one of Holly's parties, she is introduced to "the next big thing", Jack Hamilton, who is 24 years old. There's lots of flirting and innuendo that seemed excessively overdone. It goes on and on. Jack is definitely the more mature of the pair, despite being nine years younger. There really wasn't much plot or character development.
I thought I would enjoy it more. It just seemed too over the top for me. On the plus side, it was a quick easy read that had some funny moments. I don't think I'll be reading any other books in the trilogy.
