SFF Readalongs led by Kitty G discussion

This is for discussion of Leviathan Wakes and this is the place where you can let us know how you feel about the book before you even start it.
What have you heard about it?
Why are you interested in starting it?
How long have you owned it and not yet read it?
And what are you hoping for?

I know that this is highly beloved by many people and it seems like there are a fair few of you out there who seem to want to read it too. It beat out the Martian on votes and I hope it's a pretty awesome book!
I myself don't often dabble in Sci-Fi and so I am really looking forward to giving this a go. Also I have heard that it's kind of similar to the show Firefly which sounds pretty fantastic to me!
I only recently purchased this book so I am very excited about starting it and I was also interested to find out that the name James S A Corey is actually the pen name for Daniel Abraham (whose book I'm reading atm) and Ty Franck. I'm hoping that with two writers contributing it will be even more epic and awesome!

Hi, I'll be joining for the readalong.

I love scifi but I know nothing about this book because when a book gets really good ratings from my friends I trust their judgement and go in cold hoping to be pleasantly surprised.
I've had this for a few months.

I also came to know that a tv show is being made based on the books.

Akshay I'm the exact same way. I like going in blind too :-)

Today is the day I dive into this story!! Exciting I hope! :D
