Yes I did. She had more information about him than any other victim. Also, I thought the gun would be a clue.

At the beginning of Carla's story, the subsequent publicization of her survival of maddog's attack, the fact that she was proactive and fought him back gave me the sense that she would figure further down the line. When she stayed at the cabin in Wisconsin, I wondered if she would turn out to be a real love interest for Lucas; so then, I did not know if the killer would reappear to tidy up his only loss.

Yes, I did. I also, like Charlene, thought she was being written to be a real love interest for Lucas as well. Didn't know how that would work with the killer part of the story

I loved that we saw the killer thwarted so early on. Carla was a great character and I like how the book came full circle with her.
