Liz H | 87 comments I may decry the pittance that tailors and seamstresses were paid during the Regency, but I'd love to have custom fitted clothes, particularly with all the wonderful details (not lace) Maybe AI can be developed to cut custom patterns, and even let one design the garment to begin with.

OK, strange thought which came to me while reading Mr. Darcy's Bookshop - excellent book, btw.

Sam H. | 434 comments I never had much success sewing a full garment on the bias, yet so much of the ladies' clothes seem to be put together, all on the bias.
I'd love to learn how they did it and got the garments to drapes so beautifully.
And without machines!
