The murderer turns out to be Melissa Morgan, a former friend from Sam’s past when she was in high school. Skip actually solved the case. Were you bothered that we had no chance to deduce the killer or did it not matter?

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1203 comments I am at least 95% of the time unable to follow clues in these stories; I might "go with my gut" from time to time, but it's the story as a whole that keeps my interest most of the time.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments It normally bothers me, but, as I mentioned earlier, I was into the personal relationships. I do feel cheated when an author doesn't have clues even when I miss them.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1808 comments Like Sharon, I was more invested in the character development and personal stories.

It could just be that Force isn't that skilled at writing police procedurals, but these aspects of the series are not very good. Moreover, Sam isn't really much of an investigator.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments I thought it was a rather hasty wrap to the mystery. Force was more focused on the personal relationships and didn't give us mystery fans much to work with this time.

Skip hearing the clues they had and solving it was a great interesting way to wrap it up.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments I usually like trying to figure out the mystery and am disappointed when I don't have a chance. But, like others mentioned, it didn't bother me this time. There was so much other stuff going on.
