Play Book Tag discussion

This was better than Liang's first book (her debut) and it's hard to remember how young this author still is; she penned her first novel while attending university in Melbourne.

Like the first book, this was an enemies to lovers plot between the two top ranking students (the blurb tells you more,) so I hope all her books won't have this premise as it will get old really fast. That said, there was nothing in this story that dropped the book from a 4 to 3 star book, which happened in her debut. I liked the characters--not really deeply developed, but this is a y/a romance and I'm not sure that that's necessary for this book. Unlike Liang's first two, is not set and an international school in Beijing, although it's still set in a private school. The country isn't stated, but it's either Australia or the States; the universities mentioned are both American, but of course there are Aussies who go to top schools in the States, so I'm not sure. I suspect this vagueness was done on purpose, but have no way of knowing since this is the American edition and I have no idea what terms, etc, were changed.
