I keep hearing a lot of mixed reviews about both of these books, so I wanted to know what you guys thought about one or the other, and if they're worth reading !!!

Divine Rivals is better

omg personally both are really good, people say that Fourth wing isn't very good but personally I think that both books are really good in their own ways. Divine Rivals was really good from the beginning while fourth wing took a lil while to get into.

I had the same question!! For those that read them, could you please explain what you didn't like (or liked) ? And if you think one of them is better, why? :)

I am just trying to figure out which one to buy first (after I finish the books that are on my desk 😂) since both are typically the genre I like :)

I'm around 70% through Fourth Wing right now and its SO good

I found it so enjoyable to read and fell in love with it, definitely recommend

loved divine rivals. (just finished it!) but i don't think im going to read fw, and i dont love the idea of dragons, but thats just me

I have only read fourth wing and Iron flame and here are my thoughts:

I think the books where good but overhyped. The writing style was not impressive and could sometimes be annoying. The plot was good but it was a little too much clichés. Like you knew who the love interest was even before a name was revealed and for me it was too cheesy.
I like the school theme and the dragons etc. It was exciting because the plot was good but overall I couldn't understand the full hype on booktok on this book.
Iron flame was slower I think and not that impressive. Still good but not great.
It all depends on what you like to read and what is most important. I don't like when things is too obvious, too cheesy. The writingstyle needs to hook me.

I have Divine Rivals on my shelf, but want to wait to read it because I just got it, and gave a good feeling it’s gonna be good!!!! 😊

I personally think that Divine Rivals is wayyyyyy better than Fourth wing! ( especially the lettersss!!!!)
