I read And the Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini for this category, although small parts of the book took place in the US. It hopped around between Afghanistan, Greece, France, Germany, and San Jose, California. My conscience says it's okay, but I'm open to debate :)

I feel like most of the books I read are set in other countries, but for this category I read Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein. The characters are from the UK and their back story is set there, but they have crashed in occupied France during WWII. I REALLY liked this one, even though it made me cry.

I read "The demon catchers of Milan" for this category. Other than the first chapter, it was all set in Italy. It was pretty interesting.
