I am late to the discussion on this but I enjoyed this book quite a bit.

I'm so far behind on reading - I just finished this one. I loved it! How often do you and your friends dream of owning a big house or compound with room for all of you?

My kid actually is trying this. Unfortunately, they were not all adults with full lives behind them, but 20somethings just starting out, so I don't think it's going to work out as well as the Fellowship did.
