Reggia | 2533 comments I don't have the answers, lol! I did guess the same for #23 and didn't have a clue on #8 so I'll take your answer as "word". :-D Feel free to guess aloud as I did below. ;-)

#5 The Grapes of Wrath
#14 1984

Bionic Jean (bionicjean) | 57 comments Oh yes, #5 but I just don't get #14!

message 5: by Reggia (new)

Reggia | 2533 comments That one borrowed from Sixteen Candles, an American movie from the '80s that she starred in. So just subtract that from year 2000 (Y2K).

message 6: by Reggia (new)

Reggia | 2533 comments It was actually my favorite clue! (of the ones I figured out, haha)

message 7: by Reggia (new)

Reggia | 2533 comments #19 Hunchback of Notre Dame

Reggia | 2533 comments #20 must be Brave New Planet

My guess would be Brave New World. And I believe that #8 is actually The Prince of Tides.

I'm sure that #1 is The Old Man and the Sea. I have a pretty good idea of the answers to all or most of the rest, too, but (mindful of Reggia's injunction) I'll stop here for now. :-)
