When I saw starship captain & Vampire princess, I initially figured it could be a The League novel by Sherrilyn Kenyon as I think there is a (sort of ) similar pairing in one of the The League books (though the princess isn't from Earth), or there could be one, as I've not finished all current books in the series yet.
But the whole dating agency - VR game-hookup completely throws me. Isn't a Kenyon thing. Can't think of any writer who might have done so. But I *know* it isn't Lynsay Sands, at least.
Wild concept though... If you ever find it, please let me know!
Tip: you might have a go at Meet New Books. It's an app - but they also have a regular dotcom site - for book recommendations. It allows for several search words, so maybe you can find it that way, or by browsing several vampire romances /scifi romances. I believe that you don't even need to create an account if searching is all you do (only if you want to save interesting books, no longer want to see a certain book in the list, want to say you've read something, or write a review - all those need an account).
Use at your own peril though; my TBR got extended by approx 300 books after just a few weeks of use, lol. And they have updated the app recently, making it even easier to find new authors, possible favourites, etc.
Good Luck!
