Ellen | 3511 comments Twins Ellery and Ezra have been uprooted from their California home since their single mother has entered a rehab facility. The high schoolers are shipped off to live with a grandmother they barely know in small town Echo Ridge, a place that saw the disappearance of their aunt when she was only 17. Five years ago another young woman went missing after she was elected homecoming queen. Her body was found several days later. Once again it is homecoming season at Echo Ridge High School and Ellery surprisingly finds herself on the ballot to become queen. The town is thrown into a furor when one of the other homecoming princesses does not return home after a night at the local amusement park. Frightening threats are hurled at the remaining girls and rumors abound that a certain young man, the last one to see the girl that night, is a killer. Ellery suddenly finds herself in grave danger as she comes closer to the truth about the murders.

This is a good young adult murder mystery with likeable characters and a spooky amusement park thrown in for good measure. I certainly had no idea who the killer was until the reveal and the last sentence of the book is chilling.

NancyJ (nancyjjj) | 11067 comments One of the books I read repeated the famous adage about two people keeping a secret. (view spoiler)

I’ve never read this author. Do you recommend her books?

Ellen | 3511 comments This is the only book I've read by the author and it was pretty good; I wouldn't hesitate to read another. I agree with someone else who reviewed this one and said they were confused by the title since there were certainly more than 2 people who knew the secrets. It was pleasant enough.

Looking back over my Books Read spreadsheet (Nerd!!) I see this is the second book I've read by the author. Both were ok.
