Balthasaradell this book looks really "wordy" whats the story on the readibility factor?

Rick It depends on what you're used to, I suppose. William James, the brother of the famous novelist Henry James, has been praised for his prose writing ability. But, he shares his contemporary's preference for long sentences. Nonetheless, he comes off as straight-talking kind of guy. There is nothing intellectually arrogant about his way of writing. He is a sympathetic person, who wants to understand people and to be understood by people.

Jeremiah Cox It can be quite a chore to read this book, even if you're very much interested in the content. Rick is right, in that, James is trying hard to make himself understood. The sheer volume of his data takes a long time to unfold. In our day, he wouldn't dare go to such a great length.
