Oh my gosh. The end of chapter 2 made my stomach clench. This book is going to have me hooked very quickly.

i already love this book! while i was reading i wrote down some thoughts, it’s very messy and chaotic lolll

chapter 1
- SADIE DOES TRACK?! like me!! i already know i’m going to like her
- wait where is this set? i feel like i should know this
- “”what’s your height?” … julius regards her with all the patience in the world. “six foot one.”” (page 8) rare sighting of a teenage boy telling the truth about their height!! (possibly)
- okay that was kind of a boring chapter but like it made sense and we’re still at the begging so it’s fine
chapter 2
- “the corners of his lips are curved in their usual condescending manner, but he studied me for an extra beat, like he’s trying to figure something out.” (page 17) okay julius you checking her out?
- WHAT ROSIE LITERALLY ACTS JUST LIKE THIS GIRL FROM MY SCHOOL!!
- “it’s embarrassing how tight i latch on to these little pieces of validation, how much i want to be liked, to make everyone happy.” (page 19) too real. sadie reminds me of myself
- i like abigail as of page 20
- yes i love her
- stop being a people pleaser sadie 😭😭(SAYS ME)
- okay she kind of ate with that email even though it’s a little petty (i get it though julius is being annoying af)

Hahaha. I totally get what your notes are saying. I think it may be in Melbourne?? But I don’t know for sure. I am also a serial people pleaser so I am really intrigued to see her come in to herself. Abigail is a character I like already. Not caring what others think is a skill I need big time.

The chapters don’t seem like they are super long, so if you like, we could do 3 chapters a day?

i’m really liking this so far! it’s cute, pretty fast-moving, and all the characters feel very real and relatable! however it just doesn’t really feel like anything special so far. there’s nothing wrong with it at all, i just feel like it’s missing something?

I agree with you there. I am enjoying it and it’s easy to read. But it doesn’t have enough… I don’t know… intensity? I got a put behind on the reading. What chapter are we meant to be up to today?

tbh i lost track 😬 i’m about to start chapter 17!

I’m glad it wasn’t just me 😂 I got up to chapter 18 and felt confused about our marker.
I don’t regret the book so far, just wish it was a bit less predictable.

yeah, i agree. i actually just finished it! (this isn’t really a spoiler since we basically already know what’s going to happen) i really liked the end, but i wish we could’ve gotten to see a little more of them together! sadie had some great character development throughout the book, but yeah it was very predictable. i did like it a lot though!

I finished it too! ☺️ I would have really liked reading about their 1st date etc… and I wish we saw more of Abigail. Her attitude is goals!
