I like the moral quandaries in this book; how do we treat those on the edge of society? What do we owe each other as members of a community? Do we owe each other anything at all? Is it different if you're a Christian?

I loved the moral quandaries, the twist and the realisation of how different Kya's life could've been if only the community had embraced her instead of ostracising her for her difference.

I don't know why communities do this, but we need to be there for those who are 'outsiders' and embrace them, bring them in from the outside and reassure them that they belong!
