Ok I am thinking I am going to let it be about any gods not just the ones in the battle. So if you read a book that has the Native American gods in it you will get the 50 points

So, if we are on the Roman team we can read a book with any of the other gods(Greek, Egyptian etc) and it would count for points?
*whispers* that would be awesome...I need to get back to Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter et al series :)

anytime I see the word excellent I think for Mr. Burns from The Simpsons

One of my teammates read a book in which there is mention of Osiris (name of alien) twice in relation to Egyptian gods and Amun-Gereb as the aliens' king (Egyptian supreme god) twice. Is this ok?

~♥ Kat ♥~ wrote: "I'm assuming that since Angels and God are considered part of the challenge theme then Lucifer would also be accepted as well?
Sorry in advance for all the questions, I'm just trying to get everything straight in my head before this starts :) .."
LIZZ's reply Yes
~♥ Kat ♥~ wrote: "Not sure if this was answered before or not but If the God or Goddess is mentioned in the series name does that count for the 50 points or do they need to have a major/minor role within the story it's self to get those points?
Ex. Warriors of Poseidon Series by Alyssa Day(it's been so long since I started this series I can't remember if the god has a role in the story or not) .......
LIZZ's reply Yes that works
Lauren wrote: "Does the God or Goddess have to be a character in the story or is a mention of the name in the story sufficient?"
LIZZ's reply: They don't have to be in the story but they have to be mentioned in the book more this once.

This week, my team's color is yellow. Would this work:

Thanks!

I'm going with NO on this - as it really has nothing to do with gods.

Ebony wrote: "Will this book title work as a power under Shapeshifter? The book description says that two people switch bodies. Does that count?
Switched by R.L. Stine"
No on this, as shapechangers change their bodies into other things, not switching bodies.

More than enough - it just has to have some blue on it. It doesn't have to be majority blue.

Any shifter (bear, wolf, cat..) counts as theme points? Does it have to be labeled Were-whatever? As long as the character actually shifts to an animal of some kind? I'm thinking Jane Yellowrock here. She shifts into an animal but she is a skinwalker.
And this is Theme bonus points? In addition to the Power Words (Weres, Skinwalker, Changeling, Shifter).

Nichole, I'm sorry I wasn't thinking theme when you asked before.
Power words alternatives for Shapechanger is what I was thinking of when you asked, not theme. Power words such as can be used if found in title, etc.
Theme was originally theme from book included your pantheon gods but then changed to be any pantheon gods (angels, lucifer, etc included). I didn't see shape shifters being added to theme (gods) by Lizz. But there is a lot of info a lot of places. Can you point me to where it states shapechangers could be used as a theme for the book (or power words could be used as theme for book?)

As far as I know, Lizz only added Shifters, Skinwalker, Changeling, Were(animal) as Power Words. But like you said, a lot of info is spread out.
Thank you for taking up the reigns of this challenge while Lizz is out with technical difficulties. I/We really appreciate it!

No problem - its confusing.
Now that we've been in play a bit, I may try and find a place to consolidate what rules have morphed out so far. It's hard to follow the threads and find everything. I keep thinking "I saw that somewhere" lol,
