Sam is getting nowhere with the therapist and Nick reaches out to Harry for help. His time with Sam produced a breakthrough. What do you think was the catalyst for the dam burst?

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments Harry knows Sam and knows how to push her buttons. Also, the fact that Nick asked made her more open. In my opinion, most cops are standoffish with the department therapists. They don't want anything on their record.

Judy (bigfootgal) | 29 comments I agree with Sharon. The fact that Harry is a friend and not associated with the department made it safer for her to open up to him.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1803 comments As a veteran and someone who has had his own experiences with PTSD, Harry was able to understand where Sam was coming from in a way that the department therapist, however good-intentioned, wasn't.

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments After talking to Nick, I think she was ready to talk to a professional about her problems. Harry is a friend and has had his own problems. I think that helped her start talking about her feelings.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2953 comments I agree Harry was the key to unlocking what was going on with Sam. He could relate to her as a caring friend, someone who has had a similar experience and a medical professional. He was perfect.
