Jeez you're on the ball lol

I'm not sure yet for novel (way too much to choose from), but for novella I'll nominate The Dragonfly Gambit by A.D. Sui

I still want to read The Familiar by Leigh Bardugo

Don't know about novella

Hey Kalin, I will adopt your novella if you do the same for my novel nomination

Sorry Kate, my problem is there's too much I want to nominate, not that I can't think of one. I don't have the Leigh Bardugo book.

After oscillating between a few options I think I've settled on The Mercy of Gods by James S.A. Corey

Andrea-Nekane | 5 comments I absolutely second The Mercy of Gods by James S.A. Corey https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

Firstly, it is ok to nominate just one if you cannot find an interesting novel/novella that suits your mood. Secondly, I'm also very interested in a new James S.A. Corey's series

I could go for Corey's new book. So I am good for now . . . I will join with Kalin

message 8: by MH (new)

MH | 299 comments I'd happily read the Corey as well.

I need to think about novellas.

Here is a reminder - a list of 2024 novellas https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/1...

message 10: by MH (new)

MH | 299 comments Hmmm. There's another Premee Mohamed and anothe Adrian Tchaikovsky, but we've recently had books by those authors. So I'll just nominate The Brides of High Hill again. While its nominally part of a series, there's no real continuity there, and they're meant to be able to be read in any order.

I re-nominate novella The Fireborne Blade

Should we know anything about The Blacktongue Thief to fully enjoy it?

message 14: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca | 401 comments I don’t think so, sounds like it can stand on its own.

ok. I planned to read the Thief when it was just out but later other reads made it move down in my TBR

Sounds like we are close to unanimous on The Mercy of Gods, which is nice. :)
