A classic book that is easily available and FREE (because it's in the public domain) is Tess of the D'Urbervilles. I keep running into allusions from that book and I have got to figure out what everybody's talking about! I mean, c'mon, even Fifty Shades alludes to it. Don't discount it just for that reason! ;)

It appears to be readily available. It's rather pricy on Amazon Kindle edition, but I can obtain it through my library or Audible.

The only problem with this book I suppose is that it now has a sequel - is it okay to nominate a book that is now part of a series even if it's Book #1?

I don't think so, Missy.

It's not dumb at all, Reenie. Many books available here aren't easily available in the UK and visa versa. How much does Amazon charge for shipping from the USA? I hate you not being able to join in on our discussions.

I'm not too sure about the shipping, it was just the waiting time that put me off. That's really sweet of you to think of me, though!
I'll check the ones from the poll on EBay, they have a lot of stuff on there.

Thanks for checking Sarah, sadly I don't have a kindle; I could never decide on that one, but I'm sure with a bit more searching I'll find the right books! :)
Yeah, eBay is a good source. Just watch out for those shipping charges. Some sellers charge way too much.

It's time to start nominating our next group read's books. Please keep in mind the following:
Books should be chosen from my sai-king-recommends bookshelf at: https://www.goodreads.com/review/list..., unless you have book with a SK blurb I've not added yet. I will need the blurb to add the book to my bookshelf.
Only one nomination per person.
Try to use the book's link in GR.
Pick books that will be easy to obtain through libraries or inexpensive purchase.
I think that's it!
