I'm a little late with this - sorry I've got the flu!

The final of the Benson Lucia books - I should be ready to start within two days.

I'm really looking forward to this one - has anyone read it before?

I have, and I love it because, Lucia, of course! I’ve started my reread, but just the first chapter. No rush, Carol, please take it easy and take care of yourself!

I’m all lined up to start in a day or two. I’ve just got to get my head clear from dealing with the bank over some cretin that has relieved me of a large sum from my accounts. It will be a pleasant relief to bury myself in some literary silliness’ as delivered by the esteemed Lucia.
I’ve not read it before, but over the group read of the Mapp and Lucia books I’ve come to really enjoy their characters and antics.

Oh, no! I’m so sorry Lesley! May he rot, and I hope it will soon be straightened out, so you can join us and bask in the glow of Tilling.

I agree. And look how humble and grateful Georgie is with Lucia's seating arrangements for the public dinner!!
Now, should she shop daily as she's always done, or ...? The difficult changes in life that must be considered once you become Mayor :)

True! I’m reminded of a very funny reviewer’s comment on the back of one of my Lucia paperbacks - something about the maneuvering and battling over things that don’t matter a jot, but Tillingites (Lucia and Mapp in,particular) would attack it with “Attilan ferocity” and Napoleonic strategy!😂😂 appearances above all!
