The US Attorney decides to send the assault charges filed by Ramsey to the grand jury. Was this not only a smooth political move but the right one or should he have just taken it to trial?

Robin (robinmy) | 2450 comments The US Attorney knew he had to do something. He couldn't just drop the charges against Sam after she assaulted another cop. So, this was the easiest way for him to not have to take the wife of the Vice-President to trial. He knows that the grand jury won't indict her.

While I thought Sam should have been punished internally, I resented Ramsey taking this to a criminal level given he provoked the incident. Let’s not forget that Sam still has emotional issues related to that assault. This was a politically brilliant move.

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1803 comments Yes, I agree that this was a smart move by the US Attorney. He doesn't want to be the one to charge the 2nd Lady.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3474 comments I agree. The US Attorney did the right thing. Ramsey is such a big jerk, he deserves some type of reprimand too.
