If anyone is interested in reading some short stuff as a sub-group, might I suggest starting up a buddy read here at this folder? Create a topic for it! Noy only can you do it, but I will on occasion do that myself. Buddy reads probably have the greatest chance of success, I mean drawing in buddies for the joint activity, if the reads proposed are easily available and of great interest.
One idea is a Gutenberg.org SF entry that is short. 1) They're free--Gutenberg never charges, 2) A copy is always readily available, 3) They're classics of a sort--Gutenberg would not host them otherwise, and 4) No typos.

Some publishing companies make short SF available free or at a very low charge. There are online magazines, some defunct now, that still nevertheless offer free content.
