The Housemaid Is Reading a Thriller discussion

Ask For Andrea - a ghostly psychological thriller perfect for Halloween. I’ve just started this one and I’m already hooked, it’s also on Kindle Unlimited if anyone subscribes!

It’s short and snappy (as us Housemaid fans love) and is a unique story following three women who were the tragic victims of a serial killer - and are out for justice.

I flew through this book. It was really interesting having the three different perspectives. I felt like it made me want to hurry up and get to the next chapter to continue each story line. A happy ending was refreshing but I did feel the book was a bit predictable.
It was fun to see james or whatever his real name was fall to pieces. I did feel like sometimes it was hard to tell the different girls voices apart. There was not enough distinction. Overall good read.

Just finished this one too! I think at first it took me a little while to adjust to quickly rotating perspectives from the girls (and as Haley says the lack of distinction) but then I loved it.

It was sooo good to see April finally come to her senses in the end, even if it did take her 75% of the book!

Must admit it had some heart wrenching parts in the first quarter… I actually found some of the parts unnerving about the poor parents looking for their missing children.

Loved this one with a very satisfying ending.

I thought the concept that when we die we are able to reunite with loved ones we have lost was a really nice touch too- saved the book from being too morbid!

This book scared me so much I couldn’t get past the first chapter! Does it stay scary or is it worth pushing through?

@lauren there is a happy ending but it is a bit scary for someone who does not read darker books.
