18. A character who can fly

For this prompt, we’re looking for a character who can fly. There are several different interpretations for this prompt, including but not limited to:

*A character who has physical wings (Ex: told from the perspective of a bird or winged creature, or a fantasy novel featuring any type of magical winged character).
*A character with the power of flight without physical wings (ex: Superman, Thor, Mary Poppins, Peter Pan, etc),
*A pilot who flies any type of aircraft. (Aircraft may be powered or unpowered: airplane, helicopter, hang gliding, etc. It may also be fantasy-based or a sci-fi or futuristic aircraft.)

The character may be the main character or a secondary character. Flight may or may not feature heavily within the story. As always, this can be any genre, fiction or non-fiction.

“Realms of the Dead” by Sharon K. Gilbert (book 6 of the Redwing Saga) has many flying characters! It has angels, fallen angels who transform into ravens, and dragons. The good angels transform into owls at times. A great series!

A Pair of Wings by Carole Hopson works for this prompt and is so good.

I’m reading Peter Pan by JM Barrie. It’s deliciously written. An absolute treat for the imagination

I read that book last year ! It was a decent book after I finally got into it. I think some parts of the book dragged but it picked up. I was expecting something different but I'm happy I finished it . Enjoy & happy reading :)

I'll go easy with this one. Might choose a Superman book.

Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros

I read Swearing at a Sea Monster ( Folk Haven #3) by Lauren Connolly. A town of mythical creatures who also have human forms. Satine, Nicki & Neri are sirens ( also known as Dragons). Really cool book, gave it 5 stars.

I read The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum.

I read How to Train Your Dragon by Cressida Cowell. Toothless obviously can fly, although compared to his movie form he doesn't always want to :P

In The Emperor's Blades by Brian Staveley, some of the characters "fly" on the back of a giant bird.
