June Spencer disappeared over a year ago but the police department classified her as a runaway because of her profile. The circumstances of her disappearance suggested otherwise. When she turned up, catatonic and abused, they hadn’t even classified her as a concern. Was there a justification for them treating her as a runaway or is this just a typical fallback used for most teenagers? Your thoughts?

I can see why they classed her as a runaway. She had few friends, skipped school, troubled home life. She would have been viewed as a classic case.
