Parable of the Sower question

This book is definitely not for the weak. I recently finished the Parable series, it had a lot of mature content in it and was a very disturbing read. The actual dialogue and language is simple to understand and interpret however, this book is pretty graphic and I would suggest waiting til she is older, possibly 8th grade or the start of high school.

I would vote high school as well. I loved the series reading it in my second year of college. Middle school feels too young for some of the mature themes, language, and relationships. I think anyone would benefit from reading it multiple times too!
