Play Book Tag discussion

Ashley and a small group of friends decide to have a wilderness party which is code for high schoolers drinking too much and then crashing for the night in tents. Their camp site is high up in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee at the end of a well-marked trail. After multiple beers, Ashley searches for her boyfriend who seems to have disappeared. She finds him with his ex-girlfriend being more than friendly. Shocked and heartbroken Ashley plunges into the dark woods. running for miles until she falls into a ravine crushing and severely injuring her left foot. Ashley, fortunately, has survival skills and at first is not overly concerned about being lost. As a youngster she had spent many summers at a camp where she eagerly learned everything a handsome camp counselor taught. Now she needs to put those lessons to work to survive in the deep woods. As the days begin to pile up Ashley sees that her foot is badly infected and that she just may not live to see a rescue.

This is one of those books that I just couldn't stop reading. The tension built tighter as Ashely spent day after day wandering in the mountain forest. Yes, she definitely has skills and was able to do things I cannot even imagine attempting. I enjoyed this one.
