Please make your suggestions below for a category for next year's challenge. I look forward to seeing what y'all come up with.

I have to think on it a bit so I'm not just saying "I like the challenge and all the categories." lol

I like it - I try to read different genres throughout the year.

Also, I thought, since we have the monsters and professions sections, maybe there could be an item for a book with a witch/sorcerer/magician somewhere in either?

C.E.C. (milanesa) | 32 comments Ah, I had another thought. What if for this year's 25 Tales, instead of 25 books plus a trilogy, we do a 20 book long genre list (whether it's the aforementioned genre/subgenre list or all the same genre like in the past two years), plus 5 books by the same author to make the 25 total out of the whole section?

Kimberly | 28 comments I don't understand what this is. *asks excitedly - Is there another challenge in this group I should know about?

yesss, the D&J Reading Challenge! you can check the 2024 version right here -> https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Mike Curtis | 155 comments Sadly, I think the most useful challenges for me will be:
Read 5 books that are already in your current "to read" list.
Read the book that has been in your "to read" list the longest.

I do like the idea of reading different genres. Maybe also a genre mashup category (a book that can be considered a sci-fi/romance, fantasy/mystery, etc.)?

I think we created a list of SFF subgenres at one point.

That does ring a vague bell.

C.E.C. (milanesa) | 32 comments @Audrey @Wayland I mean, at least the one that I know/have seen is the one featured in the '22 challenge https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
It lists twenty subgenres plus a couple other general genres too
