4. 502 pages
5. Read a book with the theme of nature
6. This book explores the relationship between nature, in particular trees, and humans. MPG Nature
It is was a bit of a marathon getting through this lengthy book, but well worth the effort. I liked the writing and the stories about the characters. It is a book that cannot be read too quickly, needing to be savoured and thought about. However, the book did seem a little long to me, and lost some interest in the second half.

Did you start this book as well? I found Bewilderment, a later book by the same author more to my liking. It is nearly 200 pages shorter, and covers the nature theme.
I think The Overstory, needed more investment of time for me to fully appreciate it.

This was a long listen compared to the number of pages! I have been meaning to read this book for while. I enjoyed the author's style of writing and language used. Though some aspects were a bit confrotational, they were most probably relatable to the time of the setting.
