If you're interested in doing a buddy read then please follow these steps:
1) List down the names of the books you would like to read with a partner.
2) Wait for an interested member to offer to read one of your listed books with you.
3) Or you can reply to another member and offer to read one of their listed books with them.
4) Any number of people can agree to read the same book together.
5) Decide on a starting date which is convenient for all the participants.
6) You can also set a deadline to finish the book if everyone agrees.
7) Once all the details are settled then one of the participants can initiate a discussion thread on the author of the selected book in the relevant folder.
By relevant folder I mean the folder representing the genre of the selected book.
8) If a thread on that author already exists in the relevant folder then please don't initiate a thread on the same author again.
However, if the existing thread is in another folder then you would have to initiate a thread on the same author in the folder representing the genre of the selected book.
9) Once you have initiated a thread on the author—or you have found an existing thread on that author—in the relevant folder then you can provide the link here and invite the other participants to start the book discussion in that thread.
10) If you have trouble initiating the discussion thread then please comment here and I will set it up for you and provide the link here.
11) The first participant who comments in the discussion thread should provide the following information in that thread:
BUDDY READ Start Date: End Date (optional): Book's Name: Author's Name: Genre: Number of participants: Names of the participants: Other details (optional):
12) Once this information is provided in the discussion thread, all the participants can start discussing the book there.
