Fantastic Strangelings Book Club discussion

I wasn't a huge fan of this one. The first act (David's pursuit of connection) was, er, okay. The second act (David and Stacey cover up the death) was ludicrous. The third act (David and Stacey try to live with what they've done) fell flat.

I was really hoping that their paranoia was getting the best of them and that the private eye was just a gay man with a thing for David (or even just a coincidence) and that Corey really did want David to ghostwrite his autobiography.

In fact, I really hoped that the book would end with a big dramatic "Tell-Tale Heart"-style ending "Your husband's heart is under the floorboards!" Okay, maybe not *that* close to the original, but still, a dramatic confession of everything that happened with a nonplussed Corey giving the reader the side-eyeing Chloe meme.

That's totally not what happened.
