Virginia (Ginny) McDavid | 1 comments McDonald’s book is illuminating in so many respects. As I experience my own journey of deconstructing the Western Israeli narrative, I find that the author has encountered similar cognitive dissonance when trying to reconcile true facts on the ground about Palestinians and what we have been consistently told by Western Media and politicians. Deconstructing the prevailing narrative is like peeling back an onion, which the author does meticulously. McDonald thoughtfully helps unravel decades of hasbara we have all been fed to believe in the US and the West. His work is insightful and thoroughly researched. A must-read for anyone interested in truly understanding avenues for achieving peace in Israel/Palestine

Angel | 1 comments Thanks for the recommendation, I will definitely look into it .

By far the best book I’ve read so far that thoroughly debunks pro-Israel talking points has been “Gaza an inquest into its martyrdom.” Always looking for more books on the matter though.

As I was reading that book I was amazed by how effortlessly Norman destroyed many of the common arguments from the pro-Israel side.
