I didn't feel like this Murderbot book was as good as the first two. Yes, Murderbot is still snarky and searching for truth in a corrupt world, and yes, Murderbot has to save the stupid humans once again. But I felt there was too much downloading, scannning, ports, hubs, pods, codes........ too much description of technology that Murderbot accesses and controls. I did appreciate the introduction of Miki, the "pet robot," and the question of whether a robot can be a friend.
I am sure I will continue this series. Murderbot is evolving and I wonder where this will go. Surely, Muderbot will have to save stupid humans again and again.
This wasn’t my favorite either, but based on the reviews, the best is still to come. Network Effect ( #5) seems to be a favorite, and it’s waiting in my library. I have 2-3 ready to binge when the time is right. I want to hear more about the AI character from book 2 - I think it was named ART.
