message 3: by Melanie, looking for a partner in crime (new)

Melanie | 1911 comments I finished a while ago but neglected to check back in here with my thoughts.

What I really liked:
-positive, thoughtful take on relationships and consent
-poetic moments
-full characters

I have a hard time with books where I get stuck in teenager's head, and that's pretty much this whole book. So I read it little slower, taking breaks. Definitely a good read.

Ashley (ashleycw) | 257 comments It definitely was a lot of “in a teenagers head” but I don’t think Neon was as annoying as other teens can be.

I just really loved how sweet Neon was. There are so many teenage boys that will try anything to get a girl and hearing a teen be so nervous and questioning his readiness was just so refreshing for me.

And I love a non linear story, so I thought the going back in time was fun.

Agree

Anna | 231 comments I have only gotten half way through the book (my library doesn't have the audiobook yet). It's well written and interesting but I'm not exactly the book's target audience so I'm finding it hard to actually take the time to pick up the book. I plan to finish it, I'm just not sure when.

message 7: by Melanie, looking for a partner in crime (new)

Melanie | 1911 comments I wouldn't have described that way but yes. This book is intended to a teenage male, which I am not.

message 8: by Melanie, looking for a partner in crime (new)

Melanie | 1911 comments I found I liked the ending bits more than the beginning because they were broader moments, or maybe I just finally fell into the character.
