The group read Cannery Row in early 2024, and now a few of us would like to read the sequel Sweet Thursday. If anyone is interested, please mention when the best time would be for you. Months are filling up fast already, and I'm thinking maybe summertime?

Katy mentions Poems by Emily Dickinson, Three Series, Complete, I just had a look and see it's in the public domain, yeah I might be able to do this one.
Yesh, I agree that we each read the parts we want. Would that work? Maybe can set up sections different types writing? Such as prose and poetry would work for me. Then we can just have open forum?Does that sound workable Katy?

Sounds good. I've recorded it down for July with a note that it may change pending others' input. (I'm still not getting notifications on here for threads I'm checked for notifications, but I'll try to check back to this thread for updates)
Okay good. Sara, some of us want to read Emily Dickinson the second half of the year starting July 1st until end of December. Would you please set up two threads for us--one for poetry and one for prose?

Years ago, after reading Light in August and The Sound and the Fury, I went through a Faulkner phase and read a lot of his works at that time. A Fable is one I did not read. It sounds good, but I want to see how I am doing with everything else on plate before committing to more. It is tempting.

I really do one of these days, but i have been struggling so much with Infinite Jest, i am afraid to add any more long reads for a while. Cant really say when i will be free yet.Also, question- is there a current buddy read list/schedule that we can all see? Or is one in the works? Or do we just have to rememeber on our own what we signed up for? Lol

I know we read The Good Earth last June for the New School selection. Would anyone want to do a buddy read for the sequel to this novel, Sons? Maybe sometime in this summer, June or July?
