The Planning Spreadsheet is SUPER easy to use. Only myself or Jackie will actually place the books within the hands (so ignore the code column), and you just have to put in as much information you can about your book. Feel free to use abbreviations (AFN (author first name), ALN (author last name) etc.), but make sure you have both the what and the who--so for reason you could put CFN Oliver. Unless your claiming one of the color cards (at the top of the spreadsheet) please fill out all spaces your book can fit in! We might need to shuffle so any additional information is much appreciated.
If you have any questions please let us know :)

It's time for UNO!!
I've added a bunch of links above for your reference. Please take the time to add each other! It helps when checking for reverse cards. There's a planning spreadsheet for us to put books on either that we're planning to read in a round, or you can put it on after you've completed. The only cards we want to make sure we plan out beforehand are the color cards so those will be at the top of each spreadsheet to make it easier to see that we've completed them!
If you're using the planning spreadsheet, please fill out each line with as much info as possible. I've given more details above.
If you don't like using spreadsheets, you can just make a post in the group. Please include the link to the edition you read, the date finished, all the options it works for, and how it fits for each option. If easier, you can use this format:
Book:
Date Read:
Color?:
What/How it fits:
YOU ONLY HAVE TO DO ONE WAY. You do not have to do both a post and the spreadsheet, I just know not everyone enjoys spreadsheets. Everyone does needs to make sure that all books are on their designated UNO shelf and has a date read marked
I think that's a good starting point! Other than that we can answer any questions as we go. Please take the time to introduce yourself! Here's some questions you can answer (but feel free to say whatever you'd like)
-General about you (if you're uncomfortable sharing too much information, don't worry!)
-Have you played UNO before? If so, what's your favorite part?
-What's your most anticipated release of 2025? Your favorite book from 2023?
-What book do you plan on being your first for the first round of UNO?
-If you have any color books planned for February, the sooner you can let us know the better :) You can find what cards we need above and on the spreadsheet!

A little about me... I'm from North Carolina and am retired from a career in I.T. management. I have three grown children, two that live in North Carolina and one in New Hampshire. Love New England so that gives me an excuse to visit. I have played Uno for several years and it is one of my favorite challenges.
I'll read just about anything but mystery and fantasy are at the top of my list. Science fiction and horror are two genres that I have really gotten into in the last couple of years so I'm always willing to expand my reading. And love recommendations so am looking forward to seeing what everyone is reading.
I haven't started my Uno planning yet but will be doing that for the next few days. First off, I'll be looking for those color covers!
My shelf: uno-2025

I have played this game for the past couple of years and always enjoy it. I am currently living in South Florida. I used to live in NY and go up there a couple of times of years to visit family and friends.
I love just about anything paranormal and sci fi. I will read almost from any genre though. I used to work in book store for about 6 years and that really expanded my genres.

-General about you: I'm Trio and I live in New York, I've got three adult kids who are living with me (again, still - lol), and I've got two Cavalier King Charles spaniels, and one tuxedo kitten. I read mainly romances with LGBTQ+ characters, but I love mysteries and biographies too.
-Have you played UNO before? yes, it's one of my favorite challenges bc it is easy to fit my regular books in lol.
If so, what's your favorite part? Not having to read a lot of books that aren't already on my tbr shelf :)
-What's your most anticipated release of 2025? The Outcast Orc by Jordan Castillo Price
-What book do you plan on being your first for the first round of UNO? TBH I'm not sure yet, I'll take a look at the dates and have to get back to you on that one ;)
my shelf is 2025 uno: https://www.goodreads.com/review/list...

Happy to participate once again with all of you, for the 9th time!
Counting the days 😊
Thanks to Amanda & Jackie who will be leading us this year
An early sorry for any grammar/vocabulary mistake as English is not my first language. I'm from France and living there so like Kelly, I will be a little bit ahead from all of you haha
Here the link to my shelf: follow the way

Please let me know if you've had any issues with the tracking spreadsheet. We can also claim color cards whenever you want! But I understand it's a little early so no rush.

Do you mean just a like 0=Zero, Standalone, etc? I can add a "key" tab for sure!

The edition you actually read for this one, especially if you're doing a color cover :)

Yup! Use the default page count to decide if it has enough pages but the audiobook link. Whichever one you put on your shelves.

I still feel like it is odd in Spell... but I'll never turn down free letters lol.

Yes for the first month it has to be started on or after February 1st. For the rest of the challenge it is finish dates that matter!

https://www.goodreads.com/series/8030...

Only whole numbers count so can't be used for 5.5 just for the other numbers it works for!
...I can't believe you're willingly subjecting yourself to Jake Riordan again 🤣

We're almost to halfway through the month! (HOW?!). I know I'm quiet (sorry about that), but just a reminder we do have to check in once a week. I'll be sending out messages tomorrow. As a prompt, what is everyone's favorite book they've read so far for Uno??
