ETA- I don't think I will be reading as much in Feb. as I did in Jan.
I will try to get your partner as close to your reading speed as possible. I use their stats but RL does change things... I can't control that. I will set up threads in the morning. Any books you read as of February 1st will still count so keep reading!
Updated to here... I have even numbers now. I will still accept signups in pairs until midnight. Otherwise, I will put you down as a backup player. No signups will be taken after midnight except backup players.
I would like to remind everyone that this is just a game. RL is going to get in the way. Please be kind to each each other and not expect your partner to keep up the same pace if RL throws them a curve ball. I paired every one of you (except one pair who both read a lot of books) with someone who reads a monthly average within 4 books of your monthly average. That is how close all of your reading paces are. ALL OF THEM.
Sorry, I missed that Esther said it wasn't for her this month... she wasn't actually signing up. I also skipped Tori. So I swapped them out. Tori will be paired with Wolf. Hopefully, you guys are not too lopsided. Wolf does tend to be competitive.

The pair I was talking about read well over 30 books a month each and you are not that pair.

Sorry, folks I was exhausted and fell asleep last night. I will get your words today even though it is Tuesday.

All good. Thanks.

It's all good. No need to apologize. Sleep always comes first for me. ;)
Good evening everyone! I am at the hospital with my husband. I am okay but my husband is pretty sick. So, unfortunately, I will not be able to update threads tonight. I will update as usual on Wednesday. Thank you for understanding.

Sorry to hear that Donna. I hope he gets well soon!
I know I meant to update a LOT sooner than I did. Things were a bit more complicated with my husband than I originally thought. He is finally home from the hospital and has a long recovery ahead of him. Thank all of you for being so very patient with me.

So glad to know he's on the mend, even if the journey is long. He has you with him, so that's a plus. You guys are in my thoughts and prayers.

Just an FYI... at least one pair discovered that a lot of the words this month had something in common. Double Zs ... A lot of 7 letter words that I saw had these double ZZs so I thought it would be fun to use them and only one team caught on. Only a handful of the words on my list did not have them.
