Nominations are open for the April Book of the Month!

The book with the most votes will be the book of the month. I look forward to your suggestions!

Just a friendly reminder that it's always a good idea to look over the guidelines if you've never nominated before.

Feel free to nominate a Christian fiction book of your choosing. Do consider nominating an author that we've not read at least in 2023 or 2024. Please follow the guidelines below and also make sure to nominate a book that released AT LEAST three months ago.

PLEASE REVIEW THESE GUIDELINES:
-Nominations much be from a publisher of Christian Fiction (example: Bethany House) and/or be classified in the Christian Fiction Genre.
-Please do not nominate a book we've already read as a group in the last three years. You will be asked for a different nomination if you do. Find our shelves here:

2025: https://www.goodreads.com/group/books...
2024: https://www.goodreads.com/group/books...
2023: https://www.goodreads.com/group/books...

-Any author is up for nomination, as long as the book you nominate has not been a group read during 2023-2025, however, try not to nominate an author that we've read this year already. Self nominations are not allowed.

-If it is a book in a series that is not the first book, make sure you know that it can be read as a standalone and doesn't require the previous books being read to understand and enjoy.

-Please note that there may be more reasons that a book is not a good fit for nominations or group members as a whole, whether it be availability, cost, accessibility, etc. The moderators reserve the right to make these decisions. Please know we do our best in making these kinds of decisions, and we're all human. Your patience is appreciated. Thank you for your understanding! :)

Nominations will be open through February 15.

likely a case of copy/paste and then forgetting to input the new month . . . I'm actually surprised that's not happened to me yet!

Yup! I noticed one of my threads from last year never got fixed from having 2023 in the original comment. That’s how busy I was last year—I never noticed until I went to create 2025’s challenges! 🤪

Hunter H. Treasures of the Lochs
I nominate Treasures of the Lochs. It is a 2024 NIEA Finalist in Religion Fiction; and it hit Amazon#1 New Release for Christian Fantasy shortly after its release. This is suspenseful YA Christian fiction, involving a modern-day treasure hunt in Scotland, with a bit of supernatural thrown in. Blending historical fact and Scottish legend within an action-packed adventure, Treasures of the Lochs is an exciting, powerful story of faith, friendship, and redemption. I hope you'll check it out.

Hunter, as noted in the nomination guidelines in the first post of this thread, we do not allow for self-nominations. Please feel free to select another book to nominate for April's group read! 🙂

I just got the audio from my library's new app (they joined Cloud Library recently) yesterday--before knowing it would be the book of the month in April!

Based on your comment I have listened to the audiobook version of The Extraordinary Deaths of Mrs. Kip and I really liked it. Now I'm very excited about our April read too, so thanks for the recommendation.
