30.2 - MAZZA1's Task: Gregorian Games
This task is related to the months of the Spring challenge – March, April, May .
This is a two-book task, pick one book for two different options.
No children's books, manga or graphic novels are permitted for this task
Each book must be a minimum of 250 pages.
Required: Specify the options.

Option 1
March, April and May are the 3rd, 4th and 5th months of the year

Read a book with a stand alone variant of the number 3, 4, or 5 in the TITLE ONLY.
It may appear as words or numbers, whole numbers or ordinals - so 3, 4, 5 ; Three, Four, Five ; Third, Fourth, Fifth ; and 3rd , 4th, 5th all work.
Numerals should be Arabic numerals, not Roman numerals (i.e. not III, IV or V)

Examples:
The 3rd Alternative: Solving Life's Most Difficult Problems, The Four Winds, The Fifth Season

Option 2
Read a book where the name of the Month (March, April or May) is found intact in the title - It does not have to carry the meaning of the month and can be part of a longer word
Examples:
The Adventures of Augie March, In Search of April Raintree OR Maybe You Should Talk to Someone

Option 3
Read a book whose SINGLE author's first and last (middle can be ignored) initials use only the letters in the name of ONE of the months of the Spring Challenge - March, April, or May

Examples:
Agatha Christie (March), Robin Paige (April) Moira Young (May)

Option 4
Read a book that is # 3, 4 or 5 in a series. The number must be shown in greyscale on the GR record.

Kai Coates (southernbohemian) | 403 comments Would GB84 work for Option 1 as "4"? Or does it not because it's paired with another number?

I am sorry this won't work the number has to be a single digit so 4 or 4th

I hadn't considered this sort of numbering I can ask the moderators to weigh in but despite the colon after the 4 I think it is not quite what I intended - I will get back to you on this

From the default rules:
Essentially, a "word" in a title is a string of letters/symbols/punctuation marks with no spaces. So, a contraction is one word, as is a hyphenated word. (A colon is also considered a punctuation mark)

The default rule is that a number must stand alone - so, if a task calls for "nine" in the title, "nineteen" would not work. While "nine" and "9" are equivalent if the task merely calls for a title with the number 9 in it, ordinal numbers such as "ninth" do not work unless allowed in the task description.

Task will be updated for clarification.

as Kmarie D says this option would not work and we will update task to make that clear. I hope you find somewhere else to put that book
