Our March group read theme is Archaeology.
So let's nominate a book that includes archaeology themes along with the action and adventure.

**Please check the list of previous group reads as we have had other books we've read that might fit this theme, and they aren't eligible to be nominated again. Also make sure that you are following the other guidelines below.

Group Read Nomination Guidelines:

1. One nomination per group member. The books must be nominated with a Goodreads link by clicking on 'add book/author'. Non-Desktop/Laptop members: What you can do is find the book, copy & paste the URL into your comment. Between that, the book title & author, the mod will be able to quickly make sure she puts the correct book in the poll.

What I just did:

On my Ipad, I looked up the book, and clicked on the icon that means share/save/copy. It looks like a tray with an arrow pointing downward. When I clicked on it, it takes me to a screen that gives me options for how I want to share the link, and I clicked on "copy". When I went into a thread, I held my finger down against the open comment browser and a message that says "paste" came up and I clicked on this. Then I was able to paste the link into the browser. It works this way too.
I was actually able to add books through the app on my phone the last time.
If a book does not have a Goodreads link, it will not be added to the poll.

2. Books need to be readily available, ie, in print (able to buy new or in ebook format).
3. Books should have some degree of action/adventure content.
4. Past group reads are not eligible to be nominated again. The past group discussions remain open for members to comment. You can view the list of past reads here:

https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

5. Books must be either standalone or first in a series (or they may be later in a series if constructed to be read as a standalone).
6. Authors are asked not to nominate their own books or solicit nominations from members.

The poll will go up on 2/23/2025

Thanks to everyone who participates in the group reads. I hope you are able to join us this year in any way that time permits.

Agnieszka (agnieszka7) | 237 comments I nominate Tinderbox (Flashpoint, #1) by Rachel Grant Tinderbox by Rachel Grant (author was an archeologist before turning to writing full-time and so far all her books have archeology as main topic)
I've read two books by this author - which were suspenseful and had some great action scenes - plus this is not the author's debut work and her writing developed a lot in the years - so I hope this one will work out much better than our current read :-D

Blurb: (view spoiler)
